Charity Knitting

"Warm Up America" is a charity that makes hand-made blankets and clothing for the homeless. Some local yarn stores will accept donations and they will sew the squares together for you. You can donate as little or as many as you like. It's a good way to use up extra yarn. The website will give you patterns or the specific measurements. www.warmupamerica.org
Another good charity is "Head Huggers". This group takes donations of knitted or crocheted hats to give to people who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, surgery or burns. The website has tons of patterns and where to ship them. The local yarn stores also accept these but it's not for the same charity. Here's the site www.headhuggers.org
I've been busy with my baby hats and will be posting those soon!!!
